HPUSC Fall 2020 In-Town Season

Hello members,

As with most things today, the current pandemic situation has affected our lives and required us to modify the normal ways we are used to doing many things. As such, HPUSC soccer is happy to attempt to bring some bit of normalcy back by having a Fall 2020 Soccer Season, albeit with some changes to try to balance safety with the fun of being back on the field.

The attached “Return to Play” guidelines document will cover in detail most of the information needed as guidelines for the season. To complete registration you will be REQUIRED to acknowledge compliance with these guidelines. This document can be viewed on our website HERE and if needed can be downloaded or printed for offline use.

Here’s a quick summary of the most important points of the announcement and attached document:

-       The Fall season is an in-town league for players from Wantage/Sussex/Montague only

-       Registration will be opened on Saturday 8/15 through our new website at http://www.hpusc.org

-       Due to a provider switch you will need to fully re-register yourself and your children. We apologize for the inconvenience

-       Registration will be closed on Sunday 9/6

-       There will be NO EXCEPTIONS for late registrations! Given our situation, if you miss the deadline, we’re sorry but we will not be able to enroll you this season

-       Payment can be delayed when you register, if you choose to wait and see if the season will open on time. However, all payments MUST be completed by Sunday 9/13.

-       Any payments not received by Sunday 9/13 will result in your child being de-registered automatically

-       We are reducing our fee this season to a flat $50 for all ages, given the uncertainty of whether we will have a full season

-       There will be NO REFUNDS once the season has started

-       Anyone with a carryover registration from Spring, please contact the club treasurer via e-mail at treasurer@hpusc.org. Carryover registrations can be applied and refunds can be issued based on your choices. We will not carry any registrations to Spring 2021.

-       All participants (including family as spectators) will be required to follow general COVID-19 safety protocols as outlined – including masks being required on all persons not actively playing on the field. Practices and games will be stopped as necessary and return to play only when all guidelines are being followed.
